RESUMO

Objective@#To understand the longitudinal relationship between body shame, abnormal eating behavior and eating disorder tendency of adolescents, so as to provide reference for the intervention of eating problems among adolescents.@*Methods@#From September 2020, a total of 1 097 students from two high schools and two universities in Heilongjiang Province were investigated for three times (T1, T2 and T3) with an interval of 9 months. Adolescents completed the Chinese Body Shame Scale, the Chinese Version of Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire and the Sick, Control, One, Fat, Food(SCOFF) questionnaire. A cross lag analysis was used to explore the relationship between body shame, abnormal eating behavior and eating disorder tendency.@*Results@#The body shame, abnormal eating behavior and eating disorder tendency of adolescents showed an upward trend, but only the main effect of time on abnormal eating behavior was statistically significant ( F=3.78, P<0.05, η 2=0.18), and the main effect of gender on three variables were statistically significant ( F=18.06, 30.48, 25.09, P <0.01). There were significant and positive correlations between body shame, abnormal eating behavior and eating disorder tendency at three wave survey (T1: r =0.34-0.58, T2: r =0.35-0.56, T3: r =0.33-0.53, P <0.01). Body shame could predict abnormal eating behavior across time ( β T1-T2 =0.13, β T2-T3 =0.08, P < 0.05), and the predictive effect was stronger in female ( β T1-T2 =0.16, β T2-T3 =0.12, P <0.05), only the effect between T1 and T2 was significant in male ( β T1-T2 =0.09, P <0.05). Abnormal eating behavior ( β T1-T2 =0.14, β T2-T3 =0.15, P <0.01) and eating disorder tendency ( β T1-T2 =0.26, β T2-T3 =0.24, P <0.01) had cross time predictive effect. Abnormal eating behavior showed a mediating effect on the association between body shame and eating disorder tendency ( β ab =0.019, 95% CI=0.006-0.047, P <0.05), and the mediating effect was stronger in female ( β ab =0.029, 95% CI=0.008-0.053, P <0.05).@*Conclusion@#Adolescents body shame positively predicts abnormal eating behavior. Abnormal eating behavior and eating disorder tendency interact with each other, and body shame can indirectly affect eating disorder tendency through acting on abnormal eating behavior.

RESUMO

Objective@#To evaluate the effects of dietary behaviors on the risk of hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.@*Methods@#A total of 12 208 subjects aged 18-60 years old were investigated by questionnaires to collect demographic data, dietary behaviors and lifestyle information, when they did health examination in a tertiary hospital in Beijing from 2014 to 2019. During the observation period of five year, the incidence of hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases were collected through health examination files every year. The multivariate logistic regression model was employed to analyze the associations of dietary behaviors with hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. @*Results@#The study included 6 218 ( 50.93% ) males and 5 990 ( 49.07% ) females. The cumulative incidence rates of hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases were 7.75%, 2.72% and 3.49%, respectively. The multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that the high-sodium diet ( OR=1.422, 95%CI: 1.191-1.697 ) , eating fast ( OR=1.457, 95%CI: 1.102-1.974 ), eating more refined grain ( OR=1.251, 95%CI: 1.050-1.490 ) and drinking milk less than once a week ( OR=1.316, 95%CI: 1.022-1.697 ) were risk factors for hypertension. The high-sodium diet ( OR=1.344, 95%CI: 1.048-1.725 ), eating fast ( OR=1.733, 95%CI: 1.046-2.871 ), eating more meat ( OR=1.651,95%CI: 1.263-2.158 ) were risk factors for diabetes. High-sodium diet ( OR=1.501, 95%CI: 1.192-1.889 ) was risk factors for cardiovascular disease. @*Conclusion@#The diet with high sodium, more meat and refined grain as well as eating fast can increase the risk of hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

RESUMO

To retrospectively analyze the application trend of cohort study in the field of liver cancer in past 27 years and to look forward to the future development trend. Chinese and English papers reporting the cohort studies of liver cancer conducted in the mainland of China since 1991 were included. The literature management software was used to analyze the publication time, institution, type and objective of the studies and the follow-up performance. Statistical analysis was carried out by using SPSS 21.0. The number and quality of the papers reporting liver cancer-related cohort studies increased significantly in past 27 years and a core English journal group of this field has formed. The average annual growth rates of Chinese and English papers published were 20.4 and 35.2 respectively. About 52.3 of the Chinese papers and 73.5 of the English papers were published in past five years and the quality of these papers was high. The Chinese papers published on Chinese core journals accounted for 49.2, and the English papers published on SCI periodicals (IF>3) accounted for 47.3. For the study objective, those published on the domestic journals mainly focused on the pathogenesis of hepatoma (41.5), studies with large sample size was the common form. The SCI studies mainly focused on the prognosis of liver cancer (40.7). High-quality SCI papers are more interested in the studies of prognosis, and survival analysis was the common form. The application of cohort study in the field of liver cancer gradually increased in China. Large-scale study and prognosis analysis were conducted commonly. However, it is necessary to further improve the researchers' understanding of cohort study, improve the follow-up quality, and increase the application of scientific evaluation methods, such as survival analysis, for the better solving of clinical problems.

RESUMO

Experiments were conducted to determine if the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) receptor binding inhibitor (FRBI) impacts the expression levels of AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 1A (ARID1A) and phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) in ovaries and blood, as well as expressions of follicle-stimulating hormone cognate receptor (FSHR) gene and proteins. Mice in FRBI-10, FRBI-20, FRBI-30, and FRBI-40 groups were intramuscularly injected with 10, 20, 30, and 40 mg FRBI/kg, respectively, for five consecutive days. Western blotting and qRT-PCR were utilized to determine expression levels of ARID1A and PTEN proteins and mRNAs. Serum ARID1A and PTEN concentrations of the FRBI-40 group were higher than the control group (CG) and FSH group (P<0.05). FSHR mRNA levels of FRBI-20, FRBI-30, and FRBI-40 groups were lower than that of CG and FSH groups on day 15 (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Expression levels of FSHR proteins of FRBI-30 and FRBI-40 groups were lower than those of CG and FSH groups (P<0.05). Levels of ARID1A and PTEN proteins of the FRBI-30 group were greater than CG on days 20 and 30 (P<0.05). FRBI doses had significant positive correlations to levels of ARID1A and PTEN proteins. Additionally, ARID1A and PTEN had negative correlations to FSHR mRNAs and proteins. A high dose of FRBI could promote the expression levels of ARID1A and PTEN proteins in ovarian tissues. FRBI increased serum concentrations of ARID1A and PTEN. However, FRBI depressed expression levels of FSHR mRNAs and proteins in mouse ovaries.

RESUMO

The prognostic value of phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase,catalytic subunit alpha (PIK3CA) in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is controversial. We aimed to investigate the prognostic significance of PIK3CA mutation in patients with ESCC.EMBASE,PubMed,and Web of Science databases were systematically searched from inception through Oct.3,2016.The hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated using a random effects model for overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS).Seven studies enrolling 1505 patients were eligible for inclusion of the current meta-analysis.Results revealed that PIK3CA mutation was not significantly associated with OS (HR:0.90,95% CI:0.63-1.30,P=0.591),with a significant heterogeneity (I2=65.7%,P=0.012).Additionally,subgroup analyses were further conducted according to various variables, such as types of specimen, the sample size, technique and statistical methodology. All results suggested that no significant relationship was found between PIK3CA mutation and OS in patients with ESCC.For DFS,there was no significant association between PIK3CA mutation and DFS in patients with ESCC (HR:1.00,95% CI=0.47-2.11,P=0.993,I2=73.7%).Publication bias was not present and the results of sensitivity analysis were very stable in the current meta-analysis.Our findings suggest that PIK3CA mutation has no significant effects on OS and DFS in ESCC patients.More well-designed prospective studies with better methodology for PIK3CA assessment are required to clarify the prognostic significance of PIK3CA mutation in ESCC patients.
